This Argentinian Jaboticaba comes from Corrientes.
Corrientes is a province and the name of a city in the north of Argentina.
It is located on the border triangle and borders Paraguay and Brazil.
A few kilometers further on you will find the world-famous Iguazu Falls.
There, on the banks of the Paraná and Uruguay rivers, there is flat land and this Plinia was discovered in this area.
The fruits taste very good - just like the other Jabos.
Due to its location, this Plinia should be able to cope well with moisture and also tolerate colder temperatures.
I would still overwinter this Plinia at at least 10 degrees.
Diese argentinische Jaboticaba stammt aus Corrientes.
Corrientes ist eine Provinz und der Name einer Stadt im Norden Argentiniens.
Sie liegt am Dreiländereck und grenzt an Paraquay und Brasilien.
Ein paar Kilometer weiter geht es zu den weltbekannten Iguazu Falls.
Dort an den Ufern der Flüsse Paraná und Uruguay ist Flachland und in diesem Gebiet wurde diese Plinia entdeckt.
Die Früchte schmecken sehr gut - genau wie die anderen Jabos.
Aufgrund der Lage sollte diese Plinia gut mit Feuchtigkeit klar kommen und auch kältere Temperaturen vertragen.
Überwintern würde ich diese Plinia dennoch bei mindestens 10 Grad.
