All Chrysophyllum species are known for their beautiful leaves (some have a gold or silver shimmer on the underside) and many produce edible fruits.
"Lucentifolium" is a Latin name and is made up of the words "lucenti" and "folium", which translates as "luminous leaf".
This refers to the plant's shiny leaves, which are showy and shine in the sunlight.
The flowers are small, yellowish-white and fragrant.
The fruits are orange to yellow, spherical and about 3 to 4 centimeters large.
The flesh is juicy and sweet.
 This tree comes from the rainforest in Brazil and is hard to find anymore because it is primarily sought after for its valuable wood.

Alle Chrysophyllum Arten sind für ihre wunderschönen Blätter bekannt (manche schimmern auf der Unterseite gold oder silber) und viele produzieren essbare Früchte.
"Lucentifolium" ist eine lateinische Bezeichnung und setzt sich aus den Worten "lucenti" und "folium" zusammen, was übersetzt "leuchtendes Blatt" bedeutet.
Das bezieht sich auf die glänzenden Blätter der Pflanze, die auffällig sind und im Sonnenlicht glänzen.
