This is our last Jaboticaba Escarlate Airlayer plant.
We had a few of these plants for our customers last year and this was the smallest of all the plants.
Now that winter is over, it will soon begin to sprout again.
You can see in the pictures that I cut off the brown tips of the leaves.
These often occur in winter when there is too little light and warmth.
All the plants we sold from this batch have already flowered.
I am sure that this air layer will also bloom for the first time next year at the latest.
The taste of the escarlate fruits is reminiscent of Jaboticaba with a little touch of Achachairu.
The skin of these fruits is very thin, similar to the Red Hybrid.
Very, very tasty.
By the way, the name Escarlate/Scarlet refers to the dark red color of the fruit.
This Plinia is a cross between the Red Jaboticaba and the Plinia aureana.
Please overwinter at at least 10 degrees.
Das ist unsere letzte Jaboticaba Escarlate Airlayer Pflanze.
Wir hatten im letzten Jahr ein paar dieser Pflanzen für unsere Kunden und dies war die kleinste von allen Pflanzen.
Jetzt nach dem Winter beginnt sie bald neu auszutreiben.
Ihr seht auf den Bildern, dass ich die braunen Blattspitzen abgeschnitten habe.
Diese entstehen oft im Winter bei zu wenig Licht und Wärme.
Alle Pflanzen die wir aus dieser Charge verkauft haben, haben bereits geblüht.
Ich bin mir sicher, dass auch dieser Airlayer spätestens nächstes Jahr das erste Mal blühen wird.
Der Geschmack der Escarlate Früchte erinnert an Jaboticaba mit einem kleinem Touch Achachairu.
Die Fruchtschale dieser Früchte ist sehr dünn, ähnlich der Red Hybrid.
Sehr, sehr lecker.
Übrigens bezieht sich der Name Escarlate / Scarlet auf die dunkelrote Farbe der Früchte.
Diese Plinia ist eine Kreuzung aus der Red Jaboticaba mit der Plinia aureana.
Überwintern bitte bei mindestens 10 Grad.
