A very rare Solanum species, which was only discovered in 2011.
This Solanum species (Solanum melissarum) formerly Cyphomandra divaricarta, grows into a tree and can reach 2-4m in size.
It grows along small streams in semi-deciduous forests in southeastern Brazil.
The taste of these fruits is very exotic, sweet/sour, reminiscent of a mixture of tomato and marquja.
The pulp can be used to make great sauces and fantastic juices, similar to Lulo.
The tree bears fruit on site after 2 years and can live for 12 years.
Please overwinter the plants at at least 10 degrees.

Diese Solanum Art ( Solanum melissarum ) ehemals Cyphomandra divaricarta, wächst zu einem Baum und kann 2-4m Größe erreichen.
Er wächst an kleinen Bächen in halb laubabwerfenden Wäldern im Südosten Brasiliens.
Der Geschmack dieser Früchte ist sehr exotisch süß/ säuerlich, erinnert an eine Mischung aus Tomate mit Maraquja.
Aus dem Fruchtfleisch lassen sich tolle Soßen und fantastische Säfte herstellen, ähnlich wie bei der Lulo.
Der Baum fruchtet am Standort nach 2 Jahren und kann 12 Jahre alt werden.
Überwintern der Pflanzen bitte bei mindestens 10 Grad.
