When the author of the book "Frutas no Brasil" (Marco de Lacerda) writes that this fruit tastes much better than Eugenia pyriformis, that is quite a statement.
We already find Eugenia pyriformis to be a very tasty Eugenia.
This Eugenia was named in honor of Lieutenant General Henrique de Beaurepaire-Rohan (1812-1894) who explored the area south of Rio de Janeiro.
This Eugenia grows to around 5m tall and comes from the remaining Mata Atlantica in the
coastal regions of São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro and Santa Catarina.
This fruit is so good that it used to be reserved for high society.
Very juicy, sweet and hardly acidic but aromatic.
The size of the fruit is also impressive. They grow up to 4cm in diameter.
The ratio between pulp and seeds is optimal. It is really fun to eat these fruits straight from your hand.
Please overwinter at a minimum of 10 degrees Celsius.

Dabei empfinden wir die Eugenia pyriformis bereits als eine sehr gut schmeckende Eugenia.
Diese Eugenia erhielt ihren Namen zu Ehren des Generalleutnant Henrique de Beaurepaire-Rohan (1812-1894) der damals
das Gebiet südlich von Rio de Janeiro erkundete.
Diese Eugenia wird ca. 5m groß und stammt aus dem verbliebenen Mata Atlantica in den
Küstenregionen São Paulo, Rio de Janeiro und Santa Catarina.
Diese Frucht ist so gut, dass sie früher der High Society vorbehalten war.
Sehr saftig, süß und kaum Säure aber aromatisch.
Auch die Größe der Früchte ist beeindruckend. Sie werden bis zu 4cm im Durchmesser.
Das Verhältnis zwischen Fruchtfleisch und Samen ist optimal. Es macht wirklich Spaß, diese Früchte direkt aus der Hand zu essen.
Überwintern bitte bei mindestens 10 Grad Celsius.
Eine der bestschmeckenden Eugenia mit wirklich schönen Früchten.
