This rare Myrciaria comes from southern Brazil.
It gets colder there in winter, so this Myrciaria can withstand 0 degrees for a short time.
The tree stays small and grows to around 3m.
The dark blue fruits are very juicy and taste like Jaboticaba.
The new leaves on this plant are now (after 3 years) getting bigger and already have the typical plinioid shape.
We have cut off the brown leaf tips from the last two winters on the old leaves.
Please overwinter at a minimum of 10 degrees.
Diese seltene Myrciaria stammt aus Südbrasilien.
Dort wird es im Winter kälter, so dass diese Myrciaria später kurzfristig 0 Grad aushält.
Der Baum bleibt klein und wird ca. 3m groß.
Die dunkelblauen Früchte sind sehr saftig und erinnern geschmacklich an Jaboticaba.
An dieser Pflanze werden jetzt (nach 3 Jahren) die neuen Blätter größer und haben bereits diese typische plinioides-Form.
An den alten Blättern haben wir die braunen Blattspitzen der letzten beiden Winter abgeschnitten.
Überwintern bitte bei mindestens 10 Grad.
