For a long time, this fruit was considered unattainable for collectors.
The first fruits have now been harvested in Hawaii and the myth that it is “one of the best fruits in the world” has been confirmed.
Like the fig or jackfruit, the Kesusu belongs to the Moraceae family and is endemic to Borneo.
The fruits have several segments that can be eaten.
The flesh is very sweet and tastes like caramelized sugar with butterscotch.
The plant needs the same conditions as cocoa. Warm, moist and shade in the first year.

Die Pflanze benötigt die gleichen Bedingungen wie Kakao. Warm, feucht und Schatten im ersten Jahr.
