The older leaves have brown tips from the winter but the plant is already sprouting new leaves.
This is one of the rarest Inga species on earth.
To find this plant you have to go deep into the Amazon.
The tree was found in an indigenous reserve in the Cordillera Azul National Park in Peru.
The fruits look really strange and are called “cachito” by the indigenous people.
The flesh is white, juicy and very sweet.
The tree is fast-growing and later produces large, beautiful leaves.
Please overwinter this special Inga at at least 15 degrees.
Die älteren Blätter haben braune Blattspitzen vom Winter aber die Pflanze treibt bereits neue Blätter aus.
Das ist eine der seltensten Inga Arten dieser Erde.
Um diese Pflanze zu finden muss man tief in den Amazonas hineingehen.
Gefunden wurde der Baum in einem Reservat der indigenen Bevölkerung im Nationalpark Cordillera Azul von Peru.
Die Früchte sehen wirklich komisch aus und werden von den Indigenen "Cachito" genannt.
Das Fruchtfleisch ist weiß, saftig und sehr süß.
Der Baum ist schnellwachsend und bekommt später große, schöne Blätter.
Überwintern dieser besonderen Inga bitte bei mindestens 15 Grad.
