This Diospyros comes from the Cerrado region in Brazil and is now over 1 year old.
The fruits of this species turn yellow when ripe and taste very sweet.
In the first two years this species grows very slowly and mainly forms roots.
This is not a beginner's plant.
It comes from the Cerrado region in Brazil and there is a three-month dry season there.
However, the roots must not dry out during this time.
In the Cerrado the roots are several meters deep in the soil and therefore do not dry out completely.
We only water our Cerrado plants a little from below during the winter months.
These plants are able to sprout again from the roots after drying out.
Please overwinter at a minimum of 10 degrees.
Diese Diospyros stammt aus der Cerrado Region in Brasilien und ist jetzt über 1 Jahr alt.
Die Früchte dieser Art werden gelb wenn sie reif sind und schmecken sehr süß.
In den ersten beiden Jahren wächst diese Art sehr langsam und bildet hauptsächlich Wurzeln.
Dies ist keine Anfängerpflanze.
Sie stammt aus der Cerrado-Region in Brasilien und dort gibt es eine dreimonatige Trockenzeit.
Dennoch dürfen die Wurzeln in dieser Zeit nicht austrocknen.
Im Cerrado sind die Wurzeln mehrere Meter tief in der Erde und trocknen daher nicht vollständig aus.
Wir gießen unsere Cerrado-Pflanzen während der Wintermonate nur wenig von unten.
