Did you know that you can also eat the fruits of the rattan palm?
We almost only know this palm tree from its weather-resistant weaves in furniture.
But it also produces fruit and these are eaten in different ways.
There are sour fruits that are consumed with salt and chili and there are sweet fruits that are simply eaten raw.
The palm tree itself is fast-growing, has spines and can climb.
Individual stems can then grow up to 35m long.
Please overwinter at at least 15 degrees.

Diese Palme kennen wir fast nur von den witterungsbeständigen Flechtereien in Möbeln.
Sie produziert aber auch Früchte und diese werden auf unterschiedliche Art gegessen.
Es gibt saure Früchte - die werden mit Salz und Chili konsumiert und es gibt süße Früchte die man einfach roh isst.
Die Palme selbst ist schnellwachsend, hat Stacheln und kann klettern.
Dann können einzelne Stengel bis zu 35m lang werden.
Überwintern bitte bei mindestens 15 Grad.
